Det kändes faktiskt en aning manligt att styra en 51 fots segelbåt idag. Inte var jag länge bakom ratten, men en stor båt som seglats två gånger runt jorden med, en likadan swan som Hjallis seglade runt världen med… det var fint.

It’s back! The connection is up again. I’m online! This is actually what I thought would happen. Everything went the same way as the last time: connection down, call support, get no info, wait a while, connection up again. According to HTV the problem begun at 16.15 and ended at 18.00. I called the support a bit before 18 and they didn’t know what was wrong. They had no idea. How annoying. How very annoying for me, and probably quite annoying to the support too.
I wonder if the propellerheads at HTV see a pattern here? Welho Pro, in my district, seems to be down a couple of times per month (actually a bit more often than that, but HTV obviously chooses not to tell about every hickup in their systems). Helloo!! Time to fix the… whatever it is, that breaks down every once in a while! On the other hand, if their internal information flow is as non-functional as it seems, maybe they don’t understand that they have recurring problems. Dysfunctional short term memory perhaps?
After an ever so unpersonal automated answering robot (”if you have problems with your internet connection press 1…”) and ten minutes of waiting, listening to collected works of John Williams (movie themes!?) I finally got through to the HTV support. The final outcome after some six minutes of a very uninformative discussion? They wan’t to send a guy to check the cables. Surprise! But the nice support lady assumed something bigger is going on, since the phones have been ringing a lot all day. Strange flow of information they have within the company, since, according to the nice support lady, the ones informing the customers are the last to know what’s going on. All they can do is assume, guess and go through the standard procedure of telling us, that the problem might be in our end. Doesn’t sound as a very nice job. I really can’t be angry at the poor people working at the other end of the phone line. It’s not their fault that I’m offline, is it? But I’m still pissed off by my dead internet connection.
This is pathetic. My ISP is down again. The phone support is jammed and I sit here and blog by GPRS (in english, since I haven’t fixed the UTF-8 problem yet). I’m quite sure that if I get through to any support personnel, they’ll first try to roll the fault on me, as usual (are the cables ok, does your computer work…), then they probably can’t give any good reason why the connection is down.
Jag kollade in awstats-statistiken för lokala och såg till min förvåning att ordet Hevonkack sökts några gånger. Vad i fridens dagar tänkte jag och kollade upp ordet på Google. Det visade sig att Hevonkack är en ö vi körde förbi under sommarens odyssé. Det hade jag helt glömt.
Så dök det ju upp en del andra länkar bland resultaten också. Bland annat Hauskoja paikannimiä och paikkoja.txt.

I Ulvila finns till exempel orten Suolisto. Skärgårdshavet har ett ställe som heter Fålafjärt. Och utanför Drumsö finns en ö som heter Nahkahousut. I Strömfors skärgård finns en klippa som heter Bisaballen.
När jag sökte på Bisaballen hittade jag ett åländskt diskussionsinlägg som listade några kul ortsnamn i Sverige. Vad sägs om Onansbygd, Kåtebol, Luderbygget, Sexdrega eller Snålkuk.
