My name is Pekka Nikrus. I'm a Finn and a Master of Arts in Photography, born during the dark of winter in 1968. I've been actively photographing since the early 1980's and currently a doctoral student at Aalto University.
Photography is way way for me to do visual studies of the normal. It is also a way to small talk. Or talk big. I favour no particular subject: my interest lies in exploring seeing and looking. Sometimes my photos are poetry and impressionism, sometimes fantasy or realism, sometimes things go almost dadaistically awry. I love simplicity and complexity.
